The county gives us $600 to produce a show . . . here is the cost breakdown for a typical musical:

• Rights/Royalties/Script rental - $2500-$3000
• Set construction - $1000
• Costumes/shoes/makeup- $2500
• Props - $300
• School rental - $700
• Choreography - $300
• Assistant - $700
• Lighting - $200
• Advertising - $800
• Sub days for matinee - $200
• T-shirts - $500

That is a grand total of $9700-$10,200 per show!
The payment of show expenses comes from tickets
and from fundraising.
